I am available for freelance editorial work and will work with book manuscripts and comic book scripts in a variety of genres.

 

Services include:

Proofreading ($0.010/word): This involves a basic read-through of the manuscript, editing as I go for grammar, punctuation, and spelling. 

 

Copy Editing ($0.012/word): I will go through your manuscript multiple times and make sure the formatting, punctuation, and grammar are good to go! I may also leave notes in the margins explaining some of my edits. 

 

Developmental Editing ($0.015/ word): I will go over all the points of your narrative with you -- characterization, plot, structure, dialogue, etc -- and work with you on how to make your story the best it can be. Will also include an abbreviated reader report with areas of the manuscript that may need extra attention. You get all of the benefits of the two previous packages rolled into one. 

 

Query Letter Help ($25): I will take a look at your query letter and help you get it ready to send to an agent or publisher.

Submission Package ($100): I will take a look at your submission package, including but not limited to: query letter, synopsis, and the first 30 pages of your manuscript before you send it out into the world.

Formatting

I define a page as a traditional manuscript page of 250 words per page. If you are sending me a manuscript, please make sure it is already formatted this way in at least 12-point font, double-spaced. 

 

I am also able to work with partial manuscripts, comic book scripts, academic papers, and web content.
